Summer at The Lake is located in the northern woods of Minnesota on the beautiful Big Round Lake in McGregor, Minnesota.  It is the perfect getaway for your summer vacation.  Located 2 1/2 hours north of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/Saint Paul, guests will enjoy the peace and tranquility of the evenings as the sun lowers on the horizon.  Conveniently located between The Brainerd Lakes Area and the Twin Ports of Duluth, Minnesota/Superior, Wisconsin you'll find a wide range of activities and attractions to enjoy during your stay.  

Our cabin, at the water's edge, has two bedrooms on the main floor with a loft for additional sleeping quarters.  Also on the main floor, is a full bath, living room, seasonal porch, and kitchen/dinette.  The kitchen is well equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, stove, oven, microwave oven, coffeemaker, pots & pans, dishes, and utensils.  We furnish all bed linens, blankets, bath & kitchen towels, however, beach towels are your responsibility.  

Outdoors, the yard is well-sized for lawn activities or just basking in the sun.  A fire pit in front of the cabin offers a pleasant evening of conversation, as well as, an opportunity to enjoy your campfire favorites, such as roasting marshmallows or making smores.  We also provide a screen house that can be easily assembled for your use.  We are continually updating furnishings and amenities to enhance the stay of our guests. 

  Big Round Lake is a recreational and fishing lake offering premier fishing, swimming, and water activities such as water and jet skiing.  Fishing enthusiasts can look forward to catching Northern, Walleye, Bass, Crappies, and Pan Fish.  The lake is also known to be one of the clearest in the area, a pleasure for those who wish to spend time in the water!  A public boat landing is conveniently located within 1/2 mile of the cabin.  Summer at The Lake offers boat or pontoon rental at an additional cost, however, the cabin dock is equipped to secure your own personal boat. 

If swimming and water activities are your pleasure, you can take advantage of the sandy south shore beach area!  As you stand on the cabin dock, look to the shoreline on the left.  This area is open to the public and is excellent for swimming, water activities, & picnicking.  

There are many area attractions to keep you busy with adventure including: hiking, golfing, canoeing, casinos, shopping, and more.  The cabin is also conveniently located near grocery stores, bait shops, restaurants, and bars.
